Last week when I went to Subway for lunch, I got this:
Today has been productive. I sold back my Statistics book and got $77.50. Yay! I need to grab a new pair or two of Balega running socks for the summer. I have a lot of thicker socks, but now that it is getting hotter outside, I feel like my feet are getting overheated. Weird, I know, but I feel much more comfortable with thinner socks in the heat because my feet breathe better. I also want to try compression socks. Perhaps I only need it on my left foot where the cyst is. I usually go to the Potomac River Running store, but I may stop in to Pacers in Arlington on my way into DC tonight to check out the store. I've only been once briefly when I went to pick up my race packet for the 4-miler that I didn't run.
I am running the DCCS 8K this Saturday, and I am very excited about it because the race starts at 6:30pm. I've never run an evening race, but I think I'm going to like it because I am a better evening runner than morning runner. However, I haven't been running more than 3-4 miles at a time, so I am cautious about how this ~5 mile race will go. I'll probably be totally fine. The expo is on the same day at Lululemon in Georgetown starting around noon. The course runs on the Capital Crescent Trail, which I've never run before, and there is a post-race celebration at Chadwick's on Water Street. I'm all over some post-race Chili Nachos Grande. However, I've also been dying to go here:
Cantina Marina. They have mini corn dogs and cajun fare. Plus, it has outdoor seating and it is supposed to be nice out.
