Findings & Adventures Update

I realize it has been a very long time since I've made a blog post. I will give you a brief synopsis. Since the half marathon, the following has happened in my life:

- I have been waitlisted at Georgetown University.

- I have decided to go to the University of Maryland Baltimore to get my Master of Science in Nursing (Clinical Nurse Leader Program). To note: all the other programs would have been just another bachelor's degree. This program is much more badass. It will take me 16 months to complete, and I will graduate at the end of 2011.

- I am no longer running the half marathon in April. I thought I had a stress fracture on my metatarsals (foot bones), so went to the sports medicine doctor. Turns out, I don't. But there is a bumpy-thingy there that is of concern, so tomorrow I am going to the hospital to get an MRI to see if we can figure out what the heck is wrong with my foot so that I can run again.

- I saw the liberty bell.

I also realized I forgot to share some post-race celebration photos with you all:

Post-race meal at the Sunburnt Calf. We both had the Burger with the Lot: burger, egg, bacon, beets, fried onion, pineapple, lettuce, tomato and cheese. Hey, we just burned over 1,500+ calories throughout the whole ordeal. We deserved it.

We then spent the rest of the day in the apartment watching really trashy TV. It was amazing.

Allison and I celebrated our 13.1 with a bottle of champagne. The next day, of course, because after the race it was all we could do to to get up, walk across the street, eat a burger, then get back to the apartment.

Here I am just casually sipping some bubbly while sporting my race medal. "Dahhhhhhling, the race was faaaaaabulous!"

And dancing helped us loosen up our sore muscles.
